100 Happy Days: The End.

Day100ATGFINAL{Day 100: Sunshine.}

It’s the end of 100 consecutive days of happiness. Well, at least when it comes to the 100 Happy Days Challenge. I finished last week!

What a truly unique and enlightening experience.

As I mentioned when we checked in on the first 50 days, you really can find joy in your day no matter what type of day you’re having – if you only stop and pay attention. I think this is what taking on this practice re-iterates. I’ve had some tough times hit during those 100 days, yet I still made it a point to always find the silver-lining; be it in the sun beaming down on my face, enjoying an afternoon treat, starting a new book, or trying out a new nail polish. It’s about the small things.

One of the reasons that I started blogging was to celebrate and document my life, my world. It’s made me a better person for it. My eyes are always on the look-out for excitement, happiness, lessons learned, and new experiences (if only because it helps with writer’s block and gives me something to blog about!).

So as I wrap up this part of my journey, I hope to continue to grow into the type of person always looking for authentic joy.

Thanks for indulging me! Here are posts #51 through #100. Moments I look back on fondly.

  1. I am in the midst of doing this challenge and I must totally agree with you!! It’s a great way to recognize all the good that’s going on regardless of the bad that tries to creep in! I’m on day 38 today! Congrats for making it through!

    • Hi Mionna! I love meeting fellow “100 Happy Day-ers!” Would love to follow along. Where are you posting? I did mine on Twitter with weekly check-ins on my blog as well. Good luck with the challenge! The saying goes that 70% don’t finish. I hope you’re in that special 30% club with me! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting 🙂

  2. Congrats! What a great accomplishment. Really changes the way you look at your world, doesn’t it?

Yum, that rice krispie looks amazing…

    • It sure does change your perspective! And I love we met around the time I started! We’ve been blog buds for over 3 months now!! Where does the time go?
Hope all is well on your side of the country. 🙂

  3. Congrats! This is awesome. I think this is a great accomplishment and would love to try it myself. It sounds like such an adventure! If you get a chance, check out the book “The Geography of Bliss”. It is a really interesting!

  4. Congrats on completing! Just out of curiousty, what kind of challenge do you think you’ll do now? Will you start over?

I’ve been seriously thinking of starting this but I don’t get out very much and I feel like I will give up too soon. I have only completed one 30 challenge in my life. I don’t think I’ll get through the 100 days. Lol

    • Thank you, Meghan! You should totally go for it! The point is to find one thing a day that makes you smile and share it with the world!

What I find unique about this challenge is that it’s about finding things in your life that bring you joy just as it is now.

I wouldn’t use the fact that you don’t get out much as a deterrent. In fact, you’re proving that you NEED to do it. It will force you to find it around you. And keep in mind it’s usually in the smallest of things. Enjoying ice cream, looking out the window at the sky, starting a new book….getting a new haircut w/ purple highlights!

Those things are always there and always around you. This forces you to see them.

If you decide to take the plunge – let me know. I’d love to follow you!

As for me, I have a busy summer ahead and a bucket list to get through! I suppose that’s my new challenge.

      • Thank you for encouragement! You do have a point, I could do at least 20 days just in my room alone. Lol I will let you know if I do decide to do it! 🙂 And good luck on your bucket list–you just reminded me to take off one of mine! 😀
